21 The Islander Resort

Apartment was perfect for us. Had everything we needed. Was very dusty and needed a spring clean. The real estate team got onto that immediately and the rest of the stay was perfect.

Great location, nice apartment close to the beach.

First stay in point lookout and the Islander was a great appartment complex. We loved the location close to cylinder beach, the spacious rooms, the amenities, it was very clean and easy to check in and out. The team at ray white was great when we locked ourselves out of the apartment and gave us another key straight away. We would stay there again.

The inside of the apartment was really nice. Lots of space for your family or fronds. Lots of kitchenware for you to use. Surf board, body boards and even skate board as well as the table tennis gear for you to use. The cons: I was disappointed that there was no water in the pool when I arrived and no communication, but I did get reimbursed for that. The TV remote didn't work properly and it was missing kitchen amenities like tea, coffee, salt & pepper. We did get told about this but it's those little things that make the difference. Same with the bathroom amenities, none. There was cloths washing liquid which was handy.

Great place to stay in Straddie. Easy walk to beach. Nice clean well furnished place.

Spacious apartment - We spent a few nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the short walk to the beach and quick drive to the local shops/food/sights at Point Lookout.

Unit 21, The Islander is a great spot for a family get away on Straddie. Lots of room, with a massive living area and comfy beds. A very handy location being a short walk to the beach, the pub, the Bowlo and a nice little cafe.
We’ll definitely be back.

Rental Unit was lovely. Very well decorated, everything one would need and then some! Surprise entertainment section was fantastic.

It was a nice place to stay and it was nicely located near cylinder beach and Adder Rock.

The bunk beads aren’t big enough for many adults.

There was no toilet paper, hand soap, bath soap, laundry soap, nor dishwasher detergent / sponges. We had to go to Ray White to pick up some of these items, but most we had to purchase ourselves, which a person doesn’t typically pack in a suitcase, so be aware of that.

It’s on the 3rd floor without a lift; so be prepared to carry bags up flights of stairs and for a bit of exercise.

Overall though, we enjoyed it and had a good time. The bbq and patio were great (bbq was dirty and prone to grease fires though).

Would be nice if someone took more ownership of the property and made sure there was soaps, clean bbq, things like that.

A very enjoyable stay. Well equipped kitchen! Beautiful rain shower head, very comfy main bed. Having air conditioning in the rooms is a blessing, especially with our humid summers. Overall a very enjoyable stay. Most definitely will book again

we booked this place as it was walking distance to our ceremony and our venue for reception for our beach wedding. Perfect location and the place was great for kids also with the downstairs games room and the resorts facilities. Room was stunning and had everything all we had to bring was our food and drinks. Will be booking this room again in the future that's for sure.

The property was ready when we arrived and everything was clean and nice as described.
It was a very nice location, close to the main beach (2 mins drive) and perfect to walk around.
The Property itself was far and beyond what we expected from the parking area and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking forward to having some holidays in Straddie.
And yes!!! IT DOES HAVE WIFI!!! Even though it is not said on the ad page, nor in the information docs at the entrance, They have the password in the door of the fridge and the router in the main room.

This unit (#21) was ideal for 3 adults- one couple + 1 single.
We all enjoyed a nice room with our own balcony. Plenty of shared living space including comfy big couch & we loved the fully equipped kitchen.
The bathroom and laundry facility was spacious.

Nothing beats being out and about in nature and around wildlife with your loved ones. Our first little getaway since March was exactly what our souls needed. We spotted whales, dolphins and turtles and Ellie got up close and personal with a joey. We are so privileged and blessed to live in Australia; although she has her imperfections, she does have decent leadership (in global comparison) and a sense of communal adherence to do the right thing. When borders open up again—both domestically and internationally—I would highly recommend visiting North Stradbroke Island AKA Straddie. This beautiful island is a short, scenic ferry ride from Brisbane and all the locals are so warm, friendly and welcoming. We stayed at Unit 21 at the Islander Resort, which was right across from Home Beach and we were not disappointed!
