We really enjoyed our time at Point Lookout. This was our 6th visit & our 1st at this property. The view & location was great but the property has no screens whatsoever & no aircon. With the summer heat & humidity to be comfortable we really needed to be able to have doors & windows open at night. Appliances are very old & struggled to get dishwasher & dryer to work. Few little maintenance issues

Water had pooled in the bottom of the dishwasher and was smelly when we arrived. After two cycles failed to fix this I informed the Office on the Monday but the promised visit by a tradie never happened. We did not use the dishwasher for the rest of our stay which was an inconvenience. Ignition on the barbecue did not work but a lighter from the office on the Monday allowed us to use it. There was a problem with large cockroaches in the downstairs bedrooms - may need fumigation. Some of the wet areas have seen better days: there seemed to be some wetness on the floor of the cupboard under the kitchen sink, the kitchen benches are stained, and the upstairs bathroom cupboard has swelling and the mirror is blotched. The view of Cylinder Beach from the deck and living areas is wonderful but the outdoor chairs are old and stained. The beds, linen, blockout curtains, fans, washer and dryer are all good.
