Hidden among lush gardens with partial ocean views from the side deck, "Jonnies" is a family friendly home sleeping up to 6 people. There are 3 bedrooms (1 Queen, 1 double and 2 single beds).

Upstairs, the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge areas open out onto 2 balconies allowing you to follow the shade or sun depending on the season. The kichen is well appointed with a family size fridge/freezer, microwave, underbench oven and gas cooktop. The main bedroom and one of the bathrooms is also on this level.

Natural light, filtering through beautiful stained glass, lights up the timber staircase

Downstairs are 2 bedrooms, bathroom and laundry with a top load washing machine.

LINEN is supplied and the beds are made on arrival

This property has a fireplace - please BYO wood.

We have been coming to North Stradbroke every year for the last 10 years for our wedding anniversary. This was the first time in this house. The house is quite basic and could be cleaner however it was a nice space to spend a week. My only major complaint was the neighbour and his chain saw and screaming children on Sunday.

The house is at the end of a quiet street and backs onto forest, and you can walk straight up the hill into the bush for spectacular views of the ocean and the island. The house itself is light and spacious, with a nice beach-house feel to it. It was a 5 minute drive into Point Lookout and just a couple of minutes in the car to the beach. The house was so nice and relaxing that we hardly felt like leaving the property. There's no view of the ocean but you can hear it in the background and the bush aspect makes up for the lack of sea views. I agree with the other reviewers that the upstairs bedroom is in need of proper curtains - the flimsy curtain currently there gives no privacy from the house next door, and lets all the dawn light in at 5am (or earlier in the middle of summer!). Given the prices of beach house rentals on North Straddy, we thought Johnnie's was good value for money and would be happy to stay there again.

Throughly enjoyed our stay at Jonnies. The property is in a great location with just a short drive to most destinations in and around Point Lookout and surrounds. It was very easy to feel welcomed and comfortable as the home presented well, cleaned appropriately and kept in good shape. Thanks to the Ray White staff who addressed any concerns quite quickly and remained available when needed.

What a great place to stay. Just such a relaxing, open house. Decks all round, means you spend more time outside than in. It just felt like home. Very clean. Great beds. All amenities you’d need. Hopefully get to stay again. Highly recommended.

This is the perfect house for a group with everything you'll need and fantastic outside balconies.

Jonnies is a neat and tidy property that isn't too 'posh' so you're not nervous to touch things :-). It would really suit a family as the main bedroom is upstairs with the living/kitchen/main bathroom and there are two bedrooms downstairs with own toilet and shower. The pros: Beds were very comfortable, quality linen and pillows, kitchen has everything you could possibly need, bath towels provided, bathrooms were clean, Wood fired heater was lovely to have at this time of year (July), multiple decks with good outdoor furniture so you can avoid/embrace the sun depending on your mood, heated spa, beautiful position high up in the trees so when you're sitting on the deck you are amongst the tree tops with all the birdlife, a number of bush tracks around the property to take a walk that isn't on the road. The Cons: Only really one - the neighbours (who I believe to be residents of the island), their kids have a love of basketball and shooting hoops. As such, if you like to sleep in, this may not be the property for you. Every morning, like clockwork, at 6.30-7am, the kids were shooting hoops before school. It only lasted for about an hour each morning, but once you're awake, you're awake. If you're an early riser, no harm no foul, the noise isn't too intrusive once you're awake. But I do like my sleep ins (and I'm not about to tell a kid to stop doing an outdoor activity, I'm only on holiday, they live there) so probably won't book this property again based on that. Other than that, a really good value, comfortable holiday home.

Excellent house for a 3-4 days stay and the spa was an added bonus. Plenty of verandahs to enjoy.
