24 The Islander Resort

This apartment was in a wonderful location, right in the middle of everything at Point Lookout. We stayed two nights, and in general enjoyed our stay, however there were a couple of issues. The apartment was dirty - there were items left behind from previous guests, and there were many dirty items in the kitchen, like a casserole dish with bits of lasagne still in it (and yes, enough of it to know that it was lasagne). The air conditioning kept turning itself off, and didn’t cool very well, and the apartment next door just had a wooden door between ours and theirs, and you could hear every word that was said by the tenants there as if they were in the same room. On the good side though, the bathroom was lovely, and the kettle was a really fast-boil kettle, and as mentioned, location was awesome.

Beautiful and comfortable, nice views, super relax with all the trees outside. Of course I came back to this amazing place when I need space for relax.

Great location across from Home Beach but the apartment is in a block that is getting pretty tired. There are 3 flights of stairs to climb, that aren’t easy to negotiate with luggage. The apartment is renovated but there are simple things that don’t work (the light in the bathroom was a naked glove attached to a PowerPoint, rather than wired in).
The beddings was stained, which was off putting.
The walls are thin so I could hear all the conversations from the couple next door.

Great apartment, very comfortable with all the needs for a couple covered. Was lovely to have views out to the bush being the last apartment, we were able to see so much wildlife.
